Compensation: $155,000 – $222,000 (Base: $144,000–$244,000 + Bonus)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze bid opportunities and vet project viability.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to assess scope.
• Interpret civil drawings, specs, and addenda.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on takeoffs, historical data, and vendor input.
• Use tools like Bluebeam, Agtek, and HCSS HeavyBid for takeoffs and estimating.
• Present bids to clients and coordinate with internal stakeholders for seamless project handoff.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to promote repeat business and referrals.
• Track industry trends, costs, and innovations to inform competitive bids.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience with self-performing Heavy Civil/Highway contractors.
• Proven success estimating earthwork, mass grading, asphalt, concrete paving, and civil structures.
• Proficiency with estimating tools (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bluebeam).
• Experience with DOT and municipal projects highly preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

• Base Salary: $144,000 – $244,000
