This role involves overseeing the permitting process for Wind and AgriPV projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and managing project coordination with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in wind project development and excellent command of Italian and English.

Leap29 is excited to collaborate with an innovative International Renewables firm seeking a Senior Project Development Manager to oversee their Wind and Solar initiatives.

Operating across multiple global offices, our client specializes in developing, constructing, and operating Wind & Solar projects. This opportunity is based in Milan.

As a Senior / Regional Development Manager reporting to the Director of Development, you will oversee the end-to-end permitting process for Wind and AgriPV projects.

Responsibilities

1. Define and implement the entire development process until project authorization.
2. Coordinate internal and external actions (GIS wind measurement, connection environment design, legal advice, land tenure management) for project preparation and monitoring.
3. Coordinate environmental assessment studies.
4. Prepare applications for environmental authorizations and building permits.
5. Supervise projects involved in appeals before the administrative court.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Manage specific studies related to projects or local issues (e.g., biodiversity, agronomy).
2. Represent the company with local authorities, residents, farmers, and landowners, including land and rural roads management and land consolidation.
3. Coordinate interactions with all relevant public administrations and authorities involved in projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in wind project development, including prospecting or development, with team management experience preferred.
• Permitting and/or legal experience.
• Experience in prospecting and land management is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken skills in Italian; professional English is preferred.
• Based in or willing to travel to Milan.
