A global technology firm is seeking a Pipeline & Terminal Solutions Sales Manager in Seregno, Italy. The successful candidate will be accountable for identifying and closing sales opportunities within the Energy Transportation and Storage Solutions portfolio. Responsibilities include achieving sales targets, managing relationships with senior leaders, and engaging new customers. The ideal applicant will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, at least 5 years of sales experience, and fluency in English. Extensive travel is also expected.

The Pipeline & Terminal Solutions Sales Manager is accountable for identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities that support the Pipeline & Terminal Operational and Commercial product lines within Emerson’s Energy Transportation and Storage Solutions (ETS) portfolio. Our customers operate extensive networks of terminals and pipelines across Europe, transporting and storing gas, liquid hydrocarbons, renewables, and chemicals.

This is a professional sales role requiring the ability to sell to executives and senior leaders, as well as to engage and win new customers who have not previously worked with Emerson in the designated European territory. The position blends both hunter and farmer sales capabilities and follows a consultative selling approach. The ideal candidate can uncover opportunities, assess customer needs, and deliver solutions that address those needs effectively.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • To achieve or surpass the sales quota for assigned products and territories within Europe, balancing immediate objectives with mid- and long-term goals to ensure sustainable growth.
  • To own and manage the sales pipeline, delivering regular analysis and updates to management and maintaining accuracy in all relevant business systems.
  • To develop strong relationships with executives and senior leaders to drive new sales and encourage repeat business.
  • To evaluate customer needs and challenges, recommending suitable solutions that address their key pain points.
  • To plan and facilitate workshops or discovery sessions with customers to shape a shared future vision, collaborating with SMEs to define Statements / Scopes of Work and apply best practices aligned with Emerson’s standard offerings.
  • To collaborate with the proposals team and provide targeted pricing input.
  • To represent Emerson at company and industry events, presenting when needed, and remain up to date on market and industry trends.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Engineering field required;
  • 5+ years' sales experience, building and maintaining relationships and closing deals;
  • Proficient in selling software solutions and implementation services;
  • Proven ability to sell at ‘C’ Level and Senior Management Levels;
  • Proven ability to work with technical resources and sales management;
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written); ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively in the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • MBA degree;
  • Demonstrated experience in the O&G midstream / terminal industry
  • Strong understanding of Emerson's Pipeline & Terminal solution portfolio or similar
  • Familiarity with enterprise software implementations involving multiple departments
  • Other European languages
