Project details: The Transport Area of the Florence School of Regulation (FSR Transport) at the European University Institute’s Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies is dedicated to policy dialogue, policy-relevant research, training, and networking
in the area of transport regulation in Europe. It is concerned with the regulation of all modes of transport and a wide range of other topics related to digital and sustainable mobility.

Job description: The research assistant will provide support to the FSR Transport Project Directors. Main tasks include:

  • Drafting and editing research outputs, such as briefs, reports, and workshop summaries
  • Developing networks and communication channels with key stakeholders of FSR Transport
  • Contributing to the scientific organisation of workshops, and liaising the RSC Conference Unit taking care of event logistics
  • Performing analytical and research tasks in the area of transport regulation
  • Providing further assistance and performing additional tasks as required
  • Master’s degree in a field relevant to the position
  • Proven analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EU policy, and a willingness to learn about transport and network industries
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to set and meet deadlines gathered through previous experience
  • Proven ability to work in a team and to take initiative
