A leading manufacturer of high-performance polymers in Chieti, Italy, is seeking a Sales Business Development Manager. This role involves identifying key accounts and driving sales growth in the European market. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in sales within the engineering plastics industry, preferably with PEEK experience. You will develop strong customer relationships, manage the sales process, and support marketing initiatives. Proficiency in English and willingness to travel across Europe are essential.

ZYPEEK Group is one high-performance polymers manufacturer headquartered in China. We are committed to providing innovative and sustainable PEEK material solutions for consumer electronics, automotive, energy, Aerospace and Medical.

To accelerate our global expansion, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth within a designated territory, aiming at regional key accounts in Europe. This role is pivotal in executing our market penetration strategy, building a robust sales pipeline, and achieving sales targets. You will be a key player on the ground, reporting to and working closely with the Europe Sales Director.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct regional market research to identify and develop key accounts within the target industry, building a robust pipeline of high-quality sales leads.
  • Establish, maintain, and deepen long-term relationships with strategic key accounts.
  • Drive increased product sales and market share through professional account management and sales techniques.
  • Take full ownership of the entire sales process, from initial contact and technical presentations to quotation, negotiation, and final contract closure.
  • Act as the key liaison between customers and the internal technical team. Accurately understand and communicate customer technical requirements, coordinating internal resources to deliver customized solutions.
  • Actively participate in and support local marketing initiatives, such as industry trade shows and technical seminars, to enhance brand awareness and generate new leads.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in technology or commercial. Material/Chemical/Mechanical is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales and business development within the high performance Engineering Plastics relevant materials industry, such as PEEK/PI/PPS/PVDF/PEI/PAT/PPSU/PAI/UHMWPE. PEEK experience is preferred.
  • Both genuine passion and entrepreneurial mindset are essential.
  • Be a proactive self-starter, capable of thriving in an ambiguous environment and building structures and processes from scratch.
  • Exceptional ability to withstand pressure, adapt to challenges, and drive results in a dynamic startup-like environment.
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in French, Italian, or Dutch is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across Europe (approximately 50%).
