A global technology leader is seeking a Project Purchaser to enhance supply chain operations in Trieste. This temporary position requires a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering or Economics, and SAP knowledge in after sales business. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure. The role includes developing delivery chains and requires some travel. We are now looking for a

Project purchaser

to join our team working for a better future.

The position is temporary (12 months) and the preferred location is Trieste (ITA), but also Vaasa (FIN) is a possible location.

What you will be doing
As Project Purchaser, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
  • Cut down time to quote and secure on time availability especially with non-stock materials
  • Develop spare part delivery chain to meet customer requirements
  • Align and cooperate with Supply Teams and Area Sales
  • Work closely with involved parties and solve day-to-day business-related challenges
  • Monitor and report performance
  • Support in system development
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration
  • Few years of experience of supply chain activity and related SAP modules
  • SAP knowledge in after sales business
  • Customer Understanding (SCM)
  • Fluent in both written and oral business English
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • Target and result oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong self-management skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good negotiation skills

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our suppliers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
