WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY
We are a global business focused on international growth and expansion, providing innovative solutions for the railway industry. This role supports project delivery for Camlin Rail’s existing and new products, helping develop our customer base and increase market share. It is key to ensuring project management excellence throughout the customer experience, aiming to build long-term partnerships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage planning, design, and coordination of global rail installations, primarily in Italy, with support for global projects.
- Capture and understand customer requirements through site surveys, measurements, and draft reports on rail product suitability.
- Attend customer meetings to discuss design and program requirements.
- Build relationships with stakeholders involved in project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal and external design teams, including R&D, contractors, and consultancies.
- Prepare project documentation for handover to operations and field services.
- Conduct technical and feasibility studies, prepare technical drawings, and manage project documentation and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements and KPIs.
- Plan and schedule field service personnel, assist during project execution, and report lessons learned.
- Draft requirements for subcontractors for turnkey installations.
- Support other departments as needed.
- Travel within Italy, Europe, and globally as required.
REQUIREMENTS TO SUCCEED
- Proficient in English and Italian (C1+ level), both written and spoken.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management within an engineering environment.
- Relevant engineering degree (HND/Degree level).
- Proven problem-solving skills in engineering.
- Experience in reporting to and liaising with senior management.
- Strong communication skills in both Italian and English.
- Excellent project documentation skills.
- Self-motivated with team motivation skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to travel for site visits and meetings.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in civil or electrical engineering or a related field.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in asset monitoring/control systems, railway environment, public tenders, IT networking, or knowledge of German or French.
