We’re looking for a Project Lead Engineer to join our client’s HVDC Engineering team in Milan, taking ownership of project execution, stakeholder communication, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure every system runs safely, efficiently, and to world-class standards.

The Role

As Project Lead Engineer you’ll be the central technical authority for assigned HVDC or power system projects, coordinating engineering activities from concept to commissioning. You’ll lead project teams, interface with clients and global engineering centers, and ensure designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

What Youll Do

• Act as the primary technical contact for customers on all project-related matters.
• Lead engineering activities across multiple disciplines to ensure timely, compliant delivery.
• Oversee system design specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with global engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Support testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
• Contribute to developing new technical solutions and innovations within HVDC projects.

Who You Are

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in project or lead engineering within HVDC power systems or high-voltage transmission.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.
• Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills with a proactive approach.
