Your responsibilities
As the Project Engineering Manager, you will oversee the execution and coordination of all engineering tasks for a project, ensuring quality, safety, cost, and schedule adherence. You will lead a team of skilled engineers, ensuring successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of engineering principles.
Main responsibilities and contents
- Ensure efficient communication and collaboration within the engineering team.
- Achieve project engineering targets and milestones as per the schedule.
- Define and monitor measures for discrepancies in time, budget, scope, or efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with engineering-related HSE requirements and local regulations.
- Report project status to the project manager regarding engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering to ensure technical quality and integrity of design work within budget and schedule.
- Conduct engineering meetings, report progress, and meet milestones on time.
- Contribute to project schedule development, resolve engineering schedule issues, review deviations, and establish recovery plans.
- Assist in technical risk assessments following project risk management rules.
- Ensure product safety requirements are met in design.
- Ensure availability of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate engineering deliverables, document control, and ensure proper documentation formats.
- Support procurement during engineering, site support during construction and commissioning, including personnel assignment and interface management.
- Develop or adapt the project execution concept in collaboration with line management and the project manager.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in project engineering and management roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
