A global technology company is seeking a Project Engineer in Rome, Italy. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering and possess a strong background in project management. Responsibilities include managing projects, developing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with budgets. To excel in this role, candidates should have excellent problem-solving and leadership skills along with a solid command of English.   • Minimum 1–5 years’ experience in the defense sector and/or in the management of complex projects.

Descrizione del lavoro

The Project Engineer profile requires a degree in scientific disciplines, preferably engineering (electronic, telecommunications), solid experience in project management and specific technical skills, such as knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and related tools. Cross‑functional skills are also essential, including planning, risk management, leadership, problem solving and an excellent command of the English language.

  • Managing one or more projects, ensuring they are executed correctly and in accordance with the defined contractual conditions.
  • Using Systems Engineering and Project Planning tools.
  • Monthly financial replanning of projects to ensure compliance with the original project budget.
  • Detailed project planning and definition of the development plan for contracts, working within an assigned project team to deliver the contracted systems and collaborating with the assigned human resources.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers involved in the project, both to create new business opportunities and to promote the company’s image.
  • Consolidating and promoting relationships within the organization (Italy, subsidiaries and parent company).
  • Monitoring and managing the procurement of third‑party contract materials, including contributing to the definition of contractual terms and maintaining appropriate contacts with suppliers.
  • Managing any issues that may arise during project development.
  • Participating in periodic meetings to verify alignment between forecasts and project progress.
  • Preparing Quality Plans, Risk Management Plans and Configuration Management Plans for contracts intended for major clients.
  • Supporting the evaluation of external suppliers by analyzing their performance data and the accompanying documentation.
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or related scientific fields.
  • Minimum 1–5 years’ experience in the defense sector and/or in the management of complex projects.
