A leading oil and gas systems company is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes, ensure quality control, and manage production planning. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 10 years of experience in the field. Key responsibilities include budget management, performance reviews, and coordination of production resources, ensuring efficient delivery.

Competenze

Overview

Reports to: General Manager, Operations

The Production Manager is responsible and mainly involved with the planning, coordination and control of overall manufacturing processes. You are to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time delivery and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. Safety at fabrication yard is priority whereby it is not compromised, and you are to ensure that it is always maintained without fail. We are also expecting you to provide technical guidance and leadership to the team to improve efficiency and effectiveness to production operations and delivering improvement activities for betterment of the company.

Responsibilities
  • Administratively responsible for the development of the production control, shop supervision and facility maintenance including staffing and training to ensure that skills and resources meet business requirements
  • Systematically review of skills gap and training/development needs of the production control, shop supervision and facility maintenance including strategic planning and evaluation of personnel development and training for future succession planning
  • To conduct annual performance review for Production team and measure each employee’s achievement over the review period based on company’s expectation and requirement.
  • Budget setting and control responsibility for direct expenditure of the department as required.
  • Managing workload, forecast planning of the fabrication work to maximize production capacity.
  • Production management of fabrication, machining, painting, assembly, testing and commissioning inclusive of safety, production planning & scheduling, quality, labor and material cost control.
  • Responsible for the review of fabrication drawings and proposing any internal design changes with respect to the fabrication of equipment.
  • Responsible for the control and monitoring of project schedule to ensure timely completion based on the contractual delivery dates.
  • Responsible to control, plan and monitor project resources such as material, manpower, equipment and others.
  • Responsible to coordinate with Procurement, Project, Material and Quality Control Departments for the timely delivery of finish products.
  • Responsible to control and manage productivity and optimizing production cost with improvements as required.
  • Responsible to arrange regular Production Progress Meetings in a frequent manner as and when required
  • Responsible to arrange weekly Production Meetings and provide Weekly & Monthly Reports to GM.
  • Responsible to arrange weekly toolbox meetings with all workers to ensure the safety and quality aspects before start of work.
  • Responsible to review & familiarize IMS and Company Procedures for Management and Client Audits e.g.1SO 9001,14001 & 18001.
  • Attend Pre-inspection Meetings (PIM) with client to discuss the Client Specifications/Requirements, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Fabrication sequence and schedule.
  • Attend Project Kick-off Meetings (KOM) with Project Manager/Engineer, Design Engineer, QA/QC etc.
  • Personally execute a brief final inspection of all ACHE units before shipment to ensure that all units shipped are of excellent visual appearance and quality in regard to workmanship and packing.
  • In the event Management decides to restructure departments to affect overall operational efficiency of Rasa Operations it will be discussed with Production and arranged accordingly.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the Management.
Skills And Experience
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices (Boiler making, Metal Fabrication, Welding, Fitting & Machining)
  • Experience in the manufacture of Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, pressure vessels etc and the relevant code
  • High degree of competency in understanding workshop drawings
  • High level of quality and safety consciousness
  • Working knowledge of Project Planning disciplines and Production/Project Planning software systems such as Microsoft Project, Primavera etc.
