Overview

At Shiseido Italy, the Fragrance division is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of perfumery brands such as Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake, Zadig & Voltaire and Serge Lutens, ensuring the successful launch and lifecycle management of perfumery products across Italian markets.

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, consumer-relevant products through operational excellence, close collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong focus on market needs and performance.

Role

The Fragrance Product Manager is responsible for the operational strategy, roadmap and definition of a product line, so of a specific brand. He/she must work as the brand/brands entrepreneur by federating all the stakeholders around brands’ objectives. They work closely with cross-functional teams, as well as with suppliers linked to retail, event planners, customers and International Marketing to ensure the product meets market needs and aligns with the company and group goals.

This role is key in driving the success of a product and brand, and requires a balance of strategic thinking, project management and practical execution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Product Operational Strategy and Vision:
    • Locally develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy, according to marketing plan.
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and market trends.
    • Monitor constantly the A&P mix and adjust if necessary (at LE budget meetings) taking into account guidelines, local needs and sell-out targets.
  • Product Development:
    • Collaborate with the other functions of marketing and sales team to implement product launch and consolidation, as well as to develop and implement all necessary actions to meet business targets
    • Forecast of launches/animations in cooperation with commercial team and forecast of all posm materials in line with marketing plan
    • Provide qualitative feedback pre / post launches
  • Go-to-Market Planning:
    • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies.
    • Ensure successful product launches and monitor product performance.
    • Monitor and update stock/quotas of promos, testers and the POSM in order to avoid/reduce risk of FNC each year
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback.
    • Communicate product updates and changes to relevant parties and during the periodic affiliate meetings.
    • Organize marketing presentation and documents for sales force meetings
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Analyze product performance metrics and consumer feedback.
    • Make data-driven decisions to improve and maximize brand performance
    • Monitor sell-out sales performance (weekly and monthly)
Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product management or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office package and advanced use of Excel.
  • English Advanced (for EMEA/BH contacts) highly required
