A leading global technology firm in Crescentino, Italy is seeking an experienced engineer to handle technical aspects of drivetrain components throughout their lifecycle. Candidates should have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience in the industrial sector. Proficient English and CAD skills are required, with PTC Creo preferred. The role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams and occasional travel.

Position Summary

Main Responsibilities

Handle all the technical aspects, especially related to design and support, of Drivetrain Components (Driveshaft, Double-U Joint, etc..) across the whole lifecycle:

• Concept development, feasibility study and design analysis of new products;
• Review and support product design and contribute to the validation activities (definition of test and/or validation programs);
• Analyze and support application process and approval; handle prototype, production release and implementation;
• Support the process optimization and implementation, with particular focus on analysis and calculation approach finalized to product design;
• Work in cooperation with other functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods, process and product improvements;
• Work together with other Functions (product verification & validation engineers, manufacturing/process engineers, suppliers, purchasing, analysts) to assure the product launch;
• Support and Manage, if necessary, written and technical communication (including professional presentations) to customers.

Job Position Requirements

Education: Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

Professional background: Nice to have: 3-5 years of professional experience in the Industrial sector working on the development of complex mechanical systems. Previous experience in design & development of powertrain system will be appreciated.

• Good knowledge of standard approaches and methods for the design and validation of mechanical components.
• Knowledge of standard tools used to size mechanical components/systems under different point of view: functional, performance, endurance, etc..
• Be familiar with industrial process (stage gate) adopted for the project development, from the feasibility study to product phase-out will be a plus.

English, upper intermediate (B2) level as minimum for both spoken and written. Others language will be appreciated.

• High computer’s skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite and internet.
• Good knowledge of CAD tools (PTC Creo is preferred) and/or CAE tools. Knowledge of PLM (TeamCenter) tools is considered as a plus.
