Your Role

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer Lead who will join our R&D Department.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and act as reference for the development of complex mechanical solutions as a member of a multi‑disciplinary team
• Ideate, design, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems
• Push state‑of‑the‑art technologies and approaches to solve complex mechanical problems
• Work across the full product development cycle, especially from idea, to concept definition and to product finalization
• Collaborate closely with industrial designers, UX team and quality.
• Travel to and support engineering builds and vendor visits

Main Requirements

• Educational Background in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design
• Knowledge and Experience of Parametric 3D Cad Software, better if Creo software
• Knowledge and Experience on PDM, better if Windchill system
• Knowledge on design and process of Injection molding
• 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical design or in mold Design in med‑tech or electronic industry
• Experience in Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D / 2D CAD
• Knowledge of design and simulation tools, prototyping tools, manufacturing technologies and materials.
• Working knowledge in material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, glass, etc.
• Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams.
• High level of organizational skills
• Scientific approach and great problem‑solving skills
• Ability to operate in dynamic, fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience in Consumer Electronics Product Development is greatly appreciated.
• Experience with Office 365
• Experience in managing a team of R&D Product Design Engineer
• 5+ year of field experience
