Process Engineer at our Porto Corsini facility. Reporting to the Crushing Manager, this role is critical to ensuring the efficiency and quality of our crushing process. The successful candidate will monitor daily production, address process deviations, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize operations and implement plant improvements.

Key Interfaces (Internal & External):

  • Crushing Operators, Refinery & Crushing Operators, and Shift Leaders.
  • Production, Quality, Safety, and Maintenance Managers.
  • Other plant functions for material reordering and SAP data entry.

Main Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Manage Process Deviations: Identify, analyze, and correct deviations in the crushing process, coordinating with maintenance and other departments as needed.
  • Optimize Production Processes: Maintain regular contact with operators and shift leaders to optimize production processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and Update Operating Procedures: Create and revise operating procedures for the crushing department and provide training to operators and shift supervisors.
  • Manage Consumable Inventory: Control and reorder chemicals and other materials required for the crushing process to ensure continuous production.
  • Manage Production Loss Data: Document and enter production loss data into SAP with the support of other plant functions.
  • KPIs: Process efficiency, product quality, adherence to safety standards, production downtime minimization, and accurate inventory management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in the sector, particularly in continuous production companies within industrial plants, is a plus, but not required. Experience with industrial equipment like centrifugal and lobe pumps, reducers, centrifugal separators, and motors is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP software is appreciated.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knowledge of company policies regarding quality, safety, and environment.
  • HACCP training.
  • Proactive and results‑oriented.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
  • Language: Italian and English are required. Other European languages are a plus.

Additional Valued Qualifications:

  • Training in industrial mechanics and industrial electrical systems.
  • Training courses in quality, environment, and risk prevention in the work environment.
