A leading cloud and cybersecurity provider is seeking a passionate Platform Engineer to manage customer technical issues, deploy Kubernetes, and optimize cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science, relevant experience, and strong skills in Italian and English. This position is located in Italy, with options for remote working.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in IT operations or cloud infrastructure.
• Good command of Italian and English, written and spoken.

Platform Engineer – Cloud Native Team

We are a Cloud & Cybersecurity Provider focused on delivering high reliability cloud services integrated with cybersecurity solutions for medium and large enterprises. We seek extremely curious, proactive colleagues passionate about technology and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer tickets and resolving technical issues to ensure timely responses to infrastructure problems and maintain customer satisfaction;
• Delivering and setting up infrastructure to successfully deploy and configure Kubernetes environments and related technologies for customers;
• Providing technical consulting and advisory services to enable customers in adopting DevOps practices and optimizing Kubernetes platform utilization;
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of SIGHUP distribution products to support product evolution and ensure platform reliability;
• Proactively monitoring and optimizing infrastructure to maintain stable environments and ensure optimal platform performance;
• Delivering customer training and knowledge transfer sessions to empower customer teams with platform skills and best practices;
• Implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable infrastructure deployments.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered;
• +2 years of experience depending on the seniority in IT operations, cloud infrastructure, or related technical roles;
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform);
• Understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command line interface;
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana);
• Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python or similar languages);
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker);
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes;
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing);
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Kustomize, Helm);
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and platforms;
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab);
• CKAD, CKA, or CKS certifications are considered a plus.

Language Skills

• Good command of Italian and English, both written and spoken;
• Good command of French and/or Spanish is a plus.
