A leading fashion company in Italy is seeking a Merchandising Manager to develop a solid merchandising strategy for Menswear & Kidswear. This role requires 8+ years of experience in the fashion/luxury sector, strong product sensitivity, and team management skills. Job Description:

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Menswear, the Merchandising Manager will be in charge of building a solid merchandising strategy at WW level for Menswear & Kidswear, considering regional specificities and representing the brand’s vision.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Define the collection plan for all the menswear and kidswear product categories of the Brand, based on the needs of the market, the trends, and the strategic vision of the brand, in strong cooperation with the Design and Product teams;
  • Identify strategic product initiatives – benchmarking key factors to ensure successful product positioning and launch;
  • Analyze collection performance and share results with the planning team to support quantitative analysis;
  • Participate in the evolution of strategies through an in-depth understanding of the Brand’s vision and intimate knowledge of the brand and the WW market;
  • Monitor the development of the collections and constantly coordinate with the product and style team to ensure adherence with the shared merchandising plan at the beginning of the collection;
  • Collaborate in the collection pricing process to achieve the Company's profit margins.
  • Deal with Marketing teams to propose and deploy a coherent and impactful calendars and collaborations launch strategy.
  • Manage a team of merchandisers in direct report.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Previous experience of at least 8 years in a Collection merchandising team in fashion/luxury companies with a strategic vision, as well with people management.
  • Strong product sensitivity, with knowledge of markets and competitors.
  • Analytical skills, particularly in sales, sell-in and sell-out data, and performance evaluation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent knowledge of spoken and written English and Italian.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar path.
