A luxury resort in Anacapri seeks a Sommelier for the summer season of 2026. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality of wines, managing stock and inventories, training staff, and providing exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate should maintain hygiene standards and support the beverage service team.   • Train colleagues on wine knowledge and attend food safety training.

Descrizione del lavoro

An opportunity has arisen for a Sommelier to join the summer season 2026 of Jumeirah Capri Palace. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

  • Ensure all wines are tasted and in pristine condition beforeserving toguests andmaintainwine chillers at the correct temperature.
  • Control andmonitorwine orders, stock, par levels, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage.
  • Carry out inventories,maintaintemperature records, and explain any variances.
  • Prepare miseandplace well in advance and follow checklists andcleaningschedules to ensure readiness and cleanliness.
  • Attendingto all tables during service,refillingand taking fresh orders, andbuildingrapport with teams to enhance teamwork and smooth operations.
  • Communicate any required changes for outlet wine lists and standards with outlet managers/BeverageManager andsend updates on availability.
  • Train colleagues on wine knowledge and attend relevant Food Safety Trainings to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Report feedback and suggestions to the Beverage Manager and outletmanagers andensure 100% contribution to LQA standards.
  • Ensure wine cabinets are well arranged, clean, and that all opened bottles are properly labeled, transferred, or reported as spoilage according to set standards.
  • Support the service team with beverage service,assistwithadditionaltasks assigned by Beverage Managers, and perform lateral service if required by the team.
