Overview

We are looking for an engaged and detail‑oriented Junior Data Scientist to join the Data Platform & AI Team at our HQ in Milan.

Your Impact

The Data Scientist will enhance the understanding and relationship with customers through analyses and models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CRM data, generating actionable insights for campaigns, loyalty, and omnichannel strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analyses on CRM data: segmentation, churn, propensity‑to‑buy, CLV, and campaign optimization.
  • Prepare analytical datasets in BigQuery and Python notebooks for modeling and A/B testing.
  • Build dashboards and reports for stakeholders (Power BI) with aligned KPI definitions.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering/DI for integration of historical data on GCP and modernization of BI on Microsoft Fabric.
  • Monitor model performance (drift, retraining, explainability) and propose continuous improvements.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • 3–5 years of experience in data science, preferably in CRM, e‑commerce, or retail.
  • Experience with GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, orchestration (Cloud Composer/Airflow or Dataflow); Vertex AI.
  • Stack: Python (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn), Git; basic knowledge of MLOps.
  • Data visualization: Power BI.
  • Knowledge of CRM metrics (RFM, CLV, conversion, retention) and experimental methods (A/B testing).
Preferred qualities
  • Able to communicate insights clearly, with strong attention to quality and reproducibility.
  • Curious and proactive, with a strong problem‑solving mindset.
