Instructional Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $60,000/year USD

Join Crossover as an Instructional Designer to help transform the 2-Hour Learning model, which enables children to complete an entire academic day in two intensive hours while integrating AI-driven personalization.

Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $30.00/hr (equivalent to $60,000/year for 40 hours per week)

What You Will Be Doing

• Construct highly precise Academic Data Reports and perform methodical analysis to identify problems, detect irregularities, and initiate corrections within 48 hours.


• Facilitate urgent-response “intervention” calls and execute post-evaluation coaching to eliminate obstacles, distinguish comprehension deficits from mistakes, and sustain student engagement.


• Assess and deploy new educational applications and materials while architecting AI/LLM prototypes to advance learning methodologies and address particular obstacles.


• Coordinate with leadership to optimize tools, dashboards, and mastery benchmarks as the AI tutor advances.

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Attend endless meeting cycles or deliver generic presentation materials with no visibility into actual results.


• Score assignments, create lesson frameworks, or administer conventional educational programs—AI and innovation power our approach.


• Work exclusively at the strategic level without execution or become trapped in repetitive responsibilities; this position demands hands‑on engagement and adaptability.

Instructional Designer Key Responsibilities

Accelerate student learning outcomes through AI-powered analysis and immediate academic intelligence, evidenced by improved indicators such as 2× learning velocity, app engagement, lesson comprehension, response accuracy, and diminished negative learning behaviors across the Alpha Anywhere network.

Basic Requirements

• Proven capability in data science or a comparable position, education, EdTech, or a student-support function combining analytical and interpersonal dimensions.


• Competence in Google Sheets data analysis (lookups, pivot tables, filtering).


• High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a kid‑friendly coaching style.


• Experience building workflows and automations with AI.

Nice‑to‑have Requirements

• Foundation in learning science, educational principles, or documented achievement enhancing outcomes through data‑driven strategies.


• Experience with Generative AI, prompting techniques, and basic coding skills (Python, JavaScript, etc.) for querying AI APIs.

Working with us

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position available immediately. The role requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $30 USD/hour, equating to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. Payment is weekly.
