Overview

HSE Internship – Taranto, Italy (Full-Time). Student / Trainee / Apprentice role in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at Vestas Blades Italia S.R.L. in Taranto, a modern blade factory for onshore and offshore wind turbines. The internship offers opportunities for professional development within a collaborative, inclusive culture emphasising teamwork, learning, and communication.

Responsibilities

You will be involved in the daily work of the HSE department, contributing to both strategic and operational tasks related to health, safety, and environmental management. Your tasks may include:

  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of HSE policies and procedures
  • Participating in workplace safety inspections and audits
  • Assisting in risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Contributing to the development of safety awareness campaigns and training materials
  • Supporting waste management, sustainability, and environmental reporting activities
  • Performing data analysis and reporting on HSE KPIs
  • Providing support on ad hoc tasks across different departments with a focus on safety and environment

You will also have the opportunity to learn about:

  • ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Best practices in incident prevention and root cause analysis
  • Regulatory compliance in industrial HSE contexts
  • Continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental sustainability
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar. A Master’s Degree will also be valued.
  • Availability to join a full-time internship program in Taranto.
Competencies
  • Passion for HSE topics and eagerness to learn
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and structured mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluency in Italian; English at a conversational level (A2 or higher)
