A leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rome is seeking a Ground Station Engineer to design and validate satellite Ground Stations. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant field and have experience with RF communication systems, IP networking, and Linux. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation, participating in acceptance phases, and supporting system integration efforts. Proficiency in English is required.

• Review Ground Station documentation related to design, procurement, production, integration, and installation.
• Participate in Ground Station acceptance phase.
• Participate in Remote Ground Station acceptance phase.
• Understand Ground Station design, including software aspects.
• Understand Remote Ground Station services.
• Support the Ground Station AIV team during integration activities.

Conoscenze

Experience designing and building RF communication systems

Competence in IP networking concepts

Working knowledge of Linux operating system

Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems

Integration and testing of hardware systems

Experience with RF, electrical, and networking test equipment

Field support experience

Full professional proficiency in English

Background

• University degree preferably in Aerospace/Space Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or Computer Science and Engineering
• Design and validation of satellite Ground Stations

Skills

• Experience designing and building RF communication systems
• Competence in IP networking concepts
• Working knowledge of Linux operating system
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems
• Integration and testing of hardware systems
• Experience with RF, electrical, and networking test equipment (spectrum analyzers, vector analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Field support experience
• Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory
