Overview

RINA is currently recruiting for a Global P2P Director to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Division.

Mission

The P2P Global Director will lead the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process strategy and execution across all business units globally. This role is responsible for optimizing procurement operations, ensuring compliance, improving process efficiency, and leveraging technology to drive cost savings and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, finance collaboration, and P2P system implementations, with strong leadership capabilities to manage cross-functional teams, internal clients and global stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and execute a global P2P strategy aligned with organizational goals and procurement objectives.
  • Lead and manage the global P2P operations, including purchasing, supplier onboarding, material master data, PR to PO placement, invoice processing, payment, and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline P2P processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance teams to implement and optimize P2P technology solutions (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms, supplier portals).
  • Establish and enforce compliance with procurement policies, controls, and audit requirements across all regions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including procurement, accounts payable, supplier management, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports for senior leadership to track P2P performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless operations and resolve escalations.
  • Support global procurement transformation projects and change management activities.
  • Training internal clients on P2P processes and procedures.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing global P2P team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Education

Master’s Degree in Economics or Supply Chain Management

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain roles with a strong focus on P2P.
  • Proven track record of leading global P2P operations and process improvements.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools.
  • Strong understanding of procurement compliance, controls, and audit standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work effectively across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • English and Italian proficiency is a must.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in global manufacturing, technology, or retail industries.
  • Expertise in supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as robotic process automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence in P2P.
  • Change management certification or experience.
