To help fuel that growth, we need a Data Scientist to join our Global Pricing & Underwriting team.

This team is the strategic engine behind Prima’s growth.

As part of this team, you’ll play a key role in shaping our business strategy and driving innovation. By combining advanced analytics and machine learning, you’ll help keep our pricing competitive and our risk under control. You’ll work at the intersection of data science and real-world impact, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to turn insights into action.

Excited to make an impact? Here’s what you’ll be working on :

What You’ll Do
  • Be part of an international team that works closely with colleagues across Italy, the UK and Spain, navigating the different rhythms of a well‑established market leader and the agility of quickly scaling startup hubs;
  • Leverage machine learning and advanced data analytics to design, build and evolve Prima’s proprietary predictive technology, in topics such as the prediction of future claims, tactical pricing, renewal probability, fraud detection and customer lifetime value, etc;
  • Analyze and interpret complex data to support strategic decision-making;
  • Define and support the implementation in each country of the key tools to understand how the business is growing, for example: conversion, retention, emerging profitability. The monitoring tools need to be consistent at a global level and at the same time able to adapt to the different stages of evolution of each country;
  • Develop a strong critical spirit and creativity that can act as an engine for Prima’s growth.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, Mathematical Engineering, Physical Engineering, Data Science or Statistics;
  • From recent graduates to people with at most 3 years of working/research experience;
  • Excellent English level, oral & written;
  • Curiosity, proactivity, and innovative thinking to drive new ideas and solutions.
Nice‑to‑have
  • You have previous work experience in similar roles;
  • Knowledge of Spark, SQL or any other data‑oriented programming language;
  • Good Python programming skills and proficiency with standard modeling libraries (Pandas, Sklearn, Keras, XGBboost, LightGBM, etc.);
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau or similar); Fluent use of GIT.
