We are looking for a passionate and results-driven General Merchandise Key Account Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Business development and planning: Negotiate with key sellers, promote the relevant local selection, secure price advantages, and ensure business goals are achieved. Prioritize seller growth based on market opportunity, product mix, and price advantage. Understand main distributors in Italy for the relevant category, and uncover key market demand insights to drive sales with multicategory sellers.
- Seller operations: Provide guidance to key sellers in marketplace operations, usage of marketing tools, and advertising solutions. Possess experience in marketplace operations and understand the impact of pricing, GMV, and margin management on seller performance.
- Promotion and sales: Collaborate with internal/external teams to drive sales for a managed set of sellers. Propose promotional activities and enhance visibility of local products versus the overall marketplace. Manage product mix and local plus overseas selection sales mix, and ensure global teams understand Italian market peculiarities and customer demands, incorporating pricing insights to maximize GMV and margins.
- Commodity operation: Analyze user demand for commodities, enrich market supply, and formulate the annual product promotion rhythm according to seasonality and life cycle of commodities.
- Promotional activities: Coordinate the category annual plan, including brand and product traffic, leverage market resources, and explore innovative marketing models. Negotiate co-marketing activities with stakeholders and manage the commercial relationship with market key players. Provide technical guidance on the integration between seller ERP systems and the marketplace (API, middleware, CMS modules, etc.).
- Project management: Execute business innovations and integrated projects to meet local Italian needs. Manage multiple projects in parallel, build a clear operating structure, ensure collaboration with internal and external partners, and achieve results on time.
- Strategic research and adjustment: Lead research and analysis of the platform and industry (industry users, merchants, shops, commodities, competitors) and adjust operating strategies in a timely manner according to market conditions.
Requirements
- Full-time undergraduate degree or above; 2+ years of relevant seller operations in a marketplace or as a seller marketplace manager with platform operation experience.
- Familiar with brands and business models; strong knowledge of e-commerce platform operations; understanding of the Italian distribution market and brand operation with insight into online/offline market conditions and consumers.
- Expertise in commercial development with marketplace sellers, promotion planning, organization coordination, and resource integration; strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong data processing and analysis abilities; Excel proficiency.
- Extensive experience in business cooperation, negotiation, purchasing, and commodities; proven experience in innovative project management and marketing is preferred.
- Ability to communicate fluently in business English and Italian.
