The successful candidate will manage all technical documentation, coordinate with suppliers, and oversee sample testing. A background in footwear development, particularly within the sportswear industry, is essential, along with strong communication skills. Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Footwear Development, ideally in Sportswear.
• Previous experience in Purchasing is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office is required.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a FOOTWEAR DEVELOPER to join our R&D Footwear Development department, who will oversee drafting and updating all technical documentation related to all projects, particularly those related to certification processes. They will also be assisting in new materials and colours research, product costs definition, whilst also elaborating purchasing orders related to materials and tools with various suppliers.

Main Responsibilities

• You will work cross-functionally with various teams, collecting all product related technical information and making sure to provide all needed details to the suppliers.
• You will be in charge of releasing the green light to purchase raw materials (PRM), working closely with and owning the relationship with various suppliers, so to also ensure alternative solutions to any costing or testing related issues with the materials.
• You will be responsible for placing the orders, receiving and checking samples related materials and tools, collaborating closely with other internal teams such as designers, pattern makers and graphic designers, as well as external suppliers.
• You will oversee sample material testing, collecting feedback and negotiating alternative materials with the suppliers when needed.
• You will also make sure to collect all details needed for the certification process, working closely with our Test Lab Team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Footwear Development, ideally within the Sportswear industry.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office.
• Fluency in English.
• Previous exposure to PLM systems will be considered a plus.
• Previous experience in Purchasing will also be considered a plus.
• Previous exposure to AS400 will also be considered a plus.
• Proactive approach and excellent communication skills will be necessary, so to work seamlessly with various internal and external stakeholders.
