About The Position

As a Firmware Engineer Specialist in the Mobile Power Solutions team, you will be the technical reference for embedded software development. You will design, implement, and optimize firmware for our electronic systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and ready to perform in demanding environments. Collaborating with hardware and validation engineers, you will transform requirements into robust solutions and play a key role in advancing our next-generation power technologies.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain firmware for ARM-based and ESP32 microcontrollers
  • Collaborate with hardware and validation teams to translate requirements into embedded solutions
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize firmware to ensure system performance and reliability
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle, from specification and prototyping to release

A suitable background

include at least 3 years of professional experience in firmware development for electronic systems, ideally in an industrial or R&D environment, as well as the following qualifications and experience:

  • University degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven expertise with ARM 32-bit and/or ESP32 microcontrollers
  • Hands-on familiarity with code versioning tools (e.g., Git), debugging, and validation of embedded systems
  • Fluency in Italian and English, written and verbal
To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
  • Experience in automotive, IoT, or power products (e.g., lithium batteries and inverters) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of protocols and standards such as CAN, LIN, Bluetooth, and WiFi
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on debugging skills in embedded systems
  • Effective communicator who enjoys working closely with hardware and validation teams
