Field Service Engineer – Toscana

GE HealthCare invites you to join our team as a Field Service Engineer in Toscana. The role focuses on performing services and maintenance activities on customers' sites, ensuring equipment reliability, and delivering exemplary customer satisfaction.

Job Summary

All resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Executes within a well-defined operations framework with a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on designated equipment.
  • Interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues, ensuring satisfaction to customers and maintaining communication for resolution and follow-up.
  • Maintain administrative responsibilities such as customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
  • Identify sales opportunities and communicate to account team in the geographic area.
  • Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service to the assigned area.
  • Complete all administration tasks on time.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned FMIs and PMs.
  • Assist less experienced Junior Field Services Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes.
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders and interlocutors.
  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
Quality Specific Goals
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report immediately customer quality or compliance concerns to the Quality Organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, IT Engineering or similar field, or high specialization technical diploma and relevant experience on the field and with customers.
  • Significant years of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities, extensive knowledge and experience of Molecular Imaging machineries.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly.
  • Expert in interacting with the Customer, driving positive relationships, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Based in Toscana.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to show self-initiative & motivation and to work independently with minimum direction.
  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  • Change agent and process oriented.
  • IT & connectivity skills.
