An international food ingredients company is seeking a European Sales & Marketing Director located in Northern Italy. The ideal candidate will develop and direct sales and marketing activities while promoting customer satisfaction. Requires a Bachelor or Master’s degree in relevant fields and at least 10 years of B2B sales experience in the food industry. Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory.

Role: The Director of Sales & Marketing develops and directs all sales, marketing and business development activities in Europe

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing a sales and marketing plan to achieve set growth targets.
  • Developing and managing an effective sales and distributor team.
Tasks
  • Successful track record of building and growing sales and profitability in a food ingredient business (e.g. Flavours, Colours, Extracts, Powders).
  • Closing sales and satisfying customers at senior levels including Directors, VPs and owners / executives.
  • Highly self-motivated; able to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong fit with the Company’s culture and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with a preference for sciences or food technology / ingredients and/or MBA.
  • Fluent in English, Italian and other European languages are an asset.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a B2B sales environment within the food industry.
