This position reports to:

P&L Business Partner

As the EMEA IT Category Specialist, you are responsible for executing sourcing initiatives and related negotiations, as well as supporting IT-related projects from a procurement/sourcing perspective. You will leverage your expertise in IT Services, Operations, Hardware, and Software to engage with senior business stakeholders and procurement/finance teams to achieve category performance and savings targets.

The goal of this position is to leverage ABB's purchasing power globally and meet performance targets for key IT categories within the Electrification Business Area.

The work model for this role is hybrid or remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding business priorities and challenges, building strong partnerships with stakeholders, and engaging with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborating with the business to identify and realize cost reduction opportunities and translating them into sourcing events.
• Supporting the development and implementation of short-, mid-, and long-term category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Leading and supporting sourcing initiatives, working closely with stakeholders to implement regional category strategies.
• Managing RFPs, RFQs, and eAuctions in SAP Ariba and Apadua for IT projects.
• Reviewing and independently driving contracts to completion in partnership with suppliers and internal legal teams.
• Ensuring robust supplier management, including value creation, continuous improvement, performance reporting, and innovation programs, while verifying the supply base and supplier relationships.

Qualifications:

• University degree, preferably in business or engineering.
• At least 3 years of sourcing and category management experience, or extensive relevant experience in IT categories.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Proven analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Highly organized, results-oriented, with excellent contract management skills.
• Experience with SAP Ariba, eAuctioning, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Business-level fluency in English.
