A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development and execution of renewable energy projects in Italy. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in photovoltaic and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, and must possess strong project management skills. Responsibilities include leading risk analysis, validating engineering designs, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Fluency in Italian and English is essential for this role.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience in PV and/or BESS project development and execution.
• Experience in engineering design and EPC support.
• Fluent in Italian and English (C1 level).

The Green Recruitment Company has been partnered with leading operator in the search of a Senior Electrical Engineer to support their rapidly expanding portfolio in Italy.

With more than 15 GW of Onshore and Offshore projects in the pipeline in Europe.

The Solar Engineering will be in charge of the development execution of the projects, from initial greenfield stage to CoD.

The candidate will have to manage the processes of BESS and Solar PV projects reporting to the Technical Head.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading site assessments, feasibility studies, layout optimization, and risk analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
• Driving post-permitting activities, including pre-construction planning, constructability reviews, and technical input for procurement and EPC tenders.
• Validating engineering designs to ensure compliance with grid codes, permitting conditions, and project goals.
• Collaborating with project directors and construction teams to develop detailed plans and schedules.
• Shaping quality-control procedures and installation standards for PV systems.
• Promoting HSE best practices in partnership with the HSE manager.
• Supporting communications with key stakeholders like utilities, grid operators, and regulators when needed.

Requirements

• MSc or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or similar.
• Plus 5 years of experience in PV and / or BESS project development and execution.
• Experience in the development, design, engineering and whole EPC support.
• Experience negotiating with Terna and the grid connection phase.
• Fluent in Italian and English (C1 level).
