Overview

Field based role with frequent travel (3 days in the field, 2 days in home office). Ideal location Italy, Germany and Austria (Other European locations can also be considered). We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven EMEA Distributor Sales Manager to strengthen our sales operations across EMEA. This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in the analytical market, particularly in forensics, toxicology, doping control, and food safety. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with distributors and channel partners, providing them with training, support, and strategic guidance to grow sales in the region. You will also engage directly with customers, participating in joint visits and negotiations to drive business success.

Key responsibilities
  • Distributor Management and Development
    • Select, onboard and manage distributors across EMEA to ensure strong market coverage and performance.
    • Build and develop relationships with distributor partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and best practices.
    • Develop annual business plans with distributors, including sales growth, market share expansion, market initiatives, and resource allocation.
    • Conduct quarterly business reviews to monitor distributor performance, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Customer and Market Engagement
    • Achieve regional revenue and profitability targets through effective distributor engagement and business plan execution.
    • Conduct joint customer visits with distributors to support negotiations, secure new business, and strengthen customer relationships.
    • Identify and pursue growth opportunities in underpenetrated geographies and application segments.
  • Commercial Support and Training
    • Provide training and support to distributor sales teams to enhance product knowledge and execution of marketing programmes.
    • Equip distributors with updated sales tools, marketing collateral and technical resources.
  • Collaboration
    • Working closely with global and regional teams including marketing, Product Management, and Technical support to ensure consistency of messaging and campaigns.
    • Provide structured market feedback to inform product development and innovation roadmaps.
    • Partner with Operations and Customer Service to ensure efficient order fulfilment and an excellent customer experience.
  • Reporting and Forecasting
    • Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to senior management.
    • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to track achievement of EMEA revenue and margin targets.
    • Maintain use of CRM systems for distributor opportunities and customer engagement tracking.
Skills and Experience
  • Graduate/Post Graduate (BSc/MSc) in Life Sciences, Chemistry or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience in Business Development or Distributor Management experience in Life Sciences, Analytical Instruments, or related markets (Capital equipment and consumables).
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and managing distributor networks in EMEA.
  • Experience in chromatography, sample preparation or solid phase extraction is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English (Additional European languages highly desirable).
  • Frequent travel including international travel will be required (Approximately 3 days per week in the field, 2 days home office).
