  • Develop new titles with a focus on design, lifestyle & architecture.
  • Independently manage multilingual book projects from concept to print, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Collaborate closely with authors, translators, freelancers, editors worldwide, international institutions, and image agencies.
  • Handle image sourcing and clearance of text, image, artist, and photographer rights.
  • Proofread and edit texts to ensure accuracy and stylistic quality.
  • Coordinate internally with design, production, press, and sales departments.
  • Support the Editorial Director with projects and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience as an editor for design, lifestyle, and architecture topics, ideally in illustrated books.
  • Master’s degree in a humanities discipline, design, architecture, or a comparable field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • In-depth expertise in clearing text and image rights and copyright.
  • Strong affinity for text and confident stylistic judgment in editorial work.
  • Keen visual sense for image and text composition.
  • Extensive international network within publishing and the design/lifestyle sector.
  • Negotiation skills and a confident, professional demeanor.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a solution‑oriented approach to teamwork.
  • International experience and intercultural competence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and InDesign.
