Responsibilities and challenges

You will be part of a dedicated local team of colleagues involved in development and maintenance of many decision support systems helping private industries and public authorities to: protect coasts and cities from flooding as for Venice, forecast flood and drought conditions in rivers, disseminate early warning, support operations of dams and optimize hydropower production, reduce leakages and energy consumptions in water distribution systems as in treatment plants.

The main responsibilities and challenges in the job are:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software components.
  • Uphold programming coding standards and best practices.
  • Maintain decision support systems.
  • Monitor performance and bug fixing.
  • Create and maintain documentation on internal architecture of the system.
  • Produce technical specifications and product requirements.
  • Data processing and validation.
  • Project management.
  • Client’s support.
Qualifications and personal skills

We are looking for a new colleague who will join us on our quest in solving the world’s water problems and have the following qualifications:

  • Fluent Italian and English is mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of experience as developer.
  • OOP.
  • C# Dotnet Core or .NET 4.7/5+.
  • Experience with SQLServer or PostgreSql and using document databases.
  • Frontend experience like: javascript, jQuery, React, Angular.
  • Python.
  • Unit Testing (create, maintain, execute).
  • Empathy and communication skills. You can explain your ideas in a clear way and, just as important, listen actively to others
  • Thought process. Ask questions, analyze, and share your thoughts on the challenges we uncover. In other words, help the team to make the best solution to those difficult programming problems.
