Within the GCAP Joint Venture, in the GCAP Technical Leadership UO, we are looking for a IT Knowledge Manager for GCAP HQ in Reading (UK).
The purpose of the Knowledge Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a knowledge capability that is aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy. This role involves developing, managing, and executing a knowledge management strategy that will increase the effectiveness, foster innovation, and improve business performance in the Joint Venture. The Knowledge Manager will work with all areas of the Digital Information function to ensure that accurate and up-to-date information is available for all stakeholders. This individual will also be responsible for managing the organisation's knowledge base, creating documentation, and providing training materials to support organisational objectives. This role reports to the Head of Digital Information Business Management.
Key Capability Accountabilities and Objectives
Design and implement knowledge management framework within the Digital Information function by developing processes and protocols for storing, securing and maintaining knowledge assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Develop and maintain knowledge repositories, ensuring accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
Act as the lead contact for external Knowledge Audits.
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing across value streams and to identify and address knowledge gaps within the Digital Information function.
Promote a culture of knowledge sharing, continuous learning and collaboration.
Monitor and assess knowledge usage, content effectiveness and remove redundancies to improve knowledge systems and repositories.
Train Digital Information function on knowledge management tools and best practices and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives.
Support onboarding by providing access to key knowledge resources.
Collaborate with IT to optimise knowledge management systems.
Lead communities of practice and knowledge-sharing events
Objectives
Develop and maintain accurate and secure knowledge repositories and database, ensuring accessibility to the relevant stakeholders.
Facilitate a knowledge-sharing environment and implement best practices in the Digital Information function.
Collaborate with business and technology to identify and improve redundancies and/or knowledge gaps in the knowledge repositories and databases.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Comprehensive experience in knowledge management, preferably demonstrated through 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong understanding of knowledge management principles and tools.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), knowledge bases and collaboration platforms.
Strong analytical skills, to monitor content effectiveness, detect redundancies and evolve the knowledge repositories.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
High ethical standards when handling confidential information.
Good command of the English language, including setting tasks and instructions, providing feedback, creating reports, documents, and other written materials.
Desiderable Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in information science, business, or related field
Google Data Analytics, Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate certification and Certified Data Management Professional.
Project Management Professional, PRINCE2, and PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
Knowledgeable in the practical application of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum), with demonstrable experience of upskilling teams in Agile.
Good understanding of SQL, Python, and other relevant development languages.
Ability to use data analytics and visualisation tools, such as Tableau, Power BI and Elasticsearch.
Good understanding of UX/UI principles to design intuitive knowledge portals and intranets.
