The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, has 3+ years of relevant experience, and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English and Italian is essential, along with knowledge of ISO 9001 standards. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to product and process improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for a Customer Quality Engineer to strengthen our Quality team, who will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality standards required by the company and our clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing Customer Complaints in collaboration with Sales, After Sales, and Spare Parts departments, defining shared action plans with the involved company entities to resolve issues using key Problem Solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.);
  • Monitoring internal and customer-side Quality KPIs (defect rates, returns, warranties, customer satisfaction, etc.) and managing process improvement plans to achieve agreed objectives;
  • Supporting Sales during customer visits and audits, preparing necessary documentation as required, and participating in working groups for the development of new products/processes to minimize residual risks (FMEA);
  • Proposing product and process improvements to optimize industrialization, feasibility, and quality performance;
  • Writing and implementing procedures and operational instructions for the Quality System.

The position will be based in Bologna (BO), Italy.

What You Need to Be Successful
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;
  • At least three years of experience in similar roles, preferably in companies in industrial automation, automotive, or related sectors;
  • In-depth knowledge of production processes and mechanical machining in medium to high complexity contexts;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards;
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (knowledge of tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why is a plus);
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with SAP ERP and BO/BI is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken;
  • Excellent relational and communication skills.
