Quix Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a leading financial services firm with a strong presence in Italy and Europe. This company has experienced rapid growth and expansion, establishing itself as a key player in the financial services sector. It operates across multiple markets, providing investment and foreign exchange solutions to a wide range of clients, including SMEs and financial institutions.

As part of its expansion strategy, the company is seeking to strengthen its leadership team in Italy with a dynamic and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

  • About the Role
  • Key Responsibilities
  • As a Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for :
  • Providing strategic direction and leadership for the Italian operations, including its Spanish branch, ensuring growth and operational excellence
  • Leading and managing key departments (front and back office) including Revenue Generation, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, and Compliance
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with the Bank of Italy and other regulatory bodies, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and corporate governance
  • Ensuring the company adheres to all regulatory requirements, including those governing derivatives, payment systems, and institutional financial transactions
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including board members, shareholders, and employees
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing financial and operational risks to safeguard the company’s assets and reputation
  • Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, to ensure the financial health of the company’s Italian operations
  • Driving innovation within the company by exploring new business opportunities, products, and markets to maintain a competitive edge
  • Aligning business strategies, growth initiatives, and company culture with the expectations of key stakeholders
  • Upholding high ethical standards, integrity, and corporate social responsibility
  • This role involves regular travel to London and Madrid for business purposes.
  • Essential Experience & Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have :

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the Italian financial market, with a deep understanding of Italian regulations
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within financial services, ideally with a background in trading or financial markets
  • Strong governance and regulatory experience, including legal aspects and corporate governance structures
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and managing risk frameworks
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with regulatory bodies
  • Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English
