A global supply chain services provider is seeking a Business Development Manager in Fiumicino, Lazio. The successful candidate will increase profit and market share while developing relationships with new and existing customers. Responsibilities include utilizing market data for sales strategies, maintaining product knowledge, traveling to meet customers, and providing sales reports. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years in the freight forwarding or logistics sector, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and be detail-oriented. JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing gross profit and market share while developing ongoing relationships with new and existing customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
  • Utilize market data and develop sales strategies to increase our customer base
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the company
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers
  • Able to develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Provide pricing, credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Provide activity reports and sales plans for the assigned territory
  • Adhere to all requirements outlined in the Sales Policy
QUALIFICATION
