Overview

Citi is looking for an intern to join the Corporate Banking team in Milan, starting January 2026 or February 2026, for a 6‑month internship. Corporate Bankers are relationship‑focused finance professionals responsible for understanding complex financial issues facing clients worldwide. As a Corporate Banker, you will drive client dialogue on capital structure, liability management, liquidity and funding strategies, risk management, and investment solutions. Unique to Citi, Corporate Bankers also decide where to invest the firm’s capital and execute those investments in partnership with Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets Origination.

Internship Experience

We will provide training and support on a variety of topics to give you the fundamentals of the intern role and introduce you to Citi’s culture. You will be placed with the Corporate Banking team in Milan to work with for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct accounting and financial statement analysis, cash flow modelling, and capital markets analysis.
• Complete fundamental risk and credit analysis.
• Liaise with product partners.
• Assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients.
• Participate in live deal structuring.

Qualifications

• Available to start from January 2026 or February 2026.
• Strong academic record.
• Currently enrolled in a university that can provide an internship agreement.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
• Solid analytical / quantitative skills, balance‑sheet knowledge, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication / interpersonal skills and strong commitment.
• Genuine interest in the corporate finance business and curiosity to learn more.
