Job summary

A leading insurance company in Indonesia is looking for a Tax Specialist to manage VAT-related tasks, including issuing tax invoices and performing reconciliations. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have 1–2 years of experience in the insurance or financial services industry. Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and proficiency in taxation software are required. This position is based in Jakarta Selatan.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Preferred background: 1–2 years of tax experience.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.

  • Issue Tax Invoices and prepare e-Invoices.
  • Perform VAT output vs input reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly VAT report and payment.

Skills

Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Good analytical skills
Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field

Overview

Focused on VAT administration: issuing Tax Invoices, preparing e-Invoices, monitoring invoices. Performs VAT output vs input reconciliation. Prepares monthly VAT Report and Payment. Monitors specific transactions: asset sales, salvage, brokerage services, reinsurance, etc. Ensure monthly reconciliation of VAT transactions is completed accurately. Other duties related to taxation.

Responsibilities
  • Issue Tax Invoices and prepare e-Invoices; monitor VAT-related invoices.
  • Perform VAT output vs input reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly VAT report and payment.
  • Monitor specific transactions such as asset sales, salvage, brokerage services, reinsurance, etc.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of VAT transactions is completed accurately.
  • Fulfill other duties related to taxation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Preferred background: 1–2 years of tax experience, ideally in an insurance company or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (VAT, Income Tax, PMK, PER, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DJP applications (DJP Online and Coretax).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Core system, preferably Coretax or insurance-related systems (Care tech).
  • Good analytical skills, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
