Role Description
The Project Controller for Construction, MEP, and Data Center projects will monitor day-to-day progress, validate field data, and ensure every activity follows the baseline schedule prepared by the Scheduler. You will work closely with discipline leads to identify delays, coordinate priorities, and support the development of recovery plans when needed. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at coordinating multiple teams to maintain smooth project execution.
Job Description
- Ensure all project disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, Quality & Compliance) execute their activities according to the baseline schedule prepared by the Scheduler.
- Monitor daily and weekly progress of each discipline and verify alignment with planned milestones and work sequences.
- Coordinate with discipline leads to collect progress data and update percentage completion for each activity.
- Identify schedule deviations, delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraints, and escalate findings to the Project Manager.
- Assist in developing recovery plans or revised work sequences when progress falls behind the schedule.
- Review and validate progress reports submitted by subcontractors, site teams, engineering teams, and T&C teams.
- Ensure proper documentation of progress evidence (reports, photos, checklists, inspection logs, method statements, test results, etc.).
- Support the Scheduler in updating the weekly and monthly project schedule based on actual progress.
- Conduct coordination meetings with engineering, construction, T&C, and Q&C teams to ensure clear understanding of priorities, deliverables, and deadlines.
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly), highlighting achievements, delays, and required corrective actions.
- Track project deliverables across all disciplines to ensure timely completion and readiness for the next phase.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in project coordination or project control within construction/MEP/industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering workflows, construction sequences, and T&C processes.
- Familiar with reading schedules (Primavera/MS Project) and tracking progress against baseline.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying potential delays or issues.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with construction or engineering project environments is an advantage.
