A leading multinational specialty chemical manufacturer is seeking an Assistant Production Manager in Indonesia to oversee production operations at their facility. This role involves optimizing production costs, planning manpower, managing capacity, ensuring safety, and leading improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and experience with DCS-controlled processes. This position is crucial for maintaining efficiency and quality in operations.
Our client is an American multinational specialty chemical manufacturer serving global industrial markets, and is currently looking to appoint an Assistant Production Manager to be based at their manufacturing plant in Kawasan Industri Suryacipta, Karawang.
This role supports overall production operations, with responsibilities covering production cost optimization, manpower planning, capacity utilization, safety implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure stable operations, adherence to quality systems, and effective use of DCS-controlled manufacturing processes.
Production Cost Optimization: Manage equipment, manpower, and resources effectively to achieve optimal production cost and operational efficiency.
Manpower Planning and Productivity: Plan and optimize manpower deployment to support high productivity and cost-efficient operations.
Capacity and Output Management: Balance production capacity with demand, identify process bottlenecks, and drive improvements to increase output.
Safety Leadership: Ensure production targets are achieved with zero accidents by maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
Project and Investment Management: Lead production-related projects, manage timelines, and control budget utilization for capital and improvement initiatives.
Quality and Management Systems: Coordinate, implement, and continuously improve the Operations Management System (OMS) across production areas.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 6S, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
DCS Exposure: Operate and work closely with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to support stable and efficient production.
