  • Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations preferred.

Job description

The Accounts and Tax Senior Associate will play a key role in managing clients' financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and overall accounting needs. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements, handling tax filings, and offering valuable financial insights to our clients. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and tax laws, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.

Manage the full set of accounts including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.

Mentor and guide junior associates and interns in accounting and tax matters.

Prepare and file corporate and individual tax returns, GST filings, and other statutory filings.

Provide tax planning advice and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service excellence.

Address client queries and provide solutions for their accounting and tax needs.

Qualifications

Degree in Accountancy or similar qualification (Min GPA 3.70)

At least 3 year relevant experience in accounting or audit firms

Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations preferred.

Knowledge in accounting software such as XERO preferred but not mandatory

Skills and Abilities

Diligent, self‑motivated and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client engagement.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to manage multiple client accounts and effectively handle deadline assignments.

This role typically involves working in a collaborative and dynamic office environment with opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and industries. Occasional overtime during peak financial periods, such as the end of the fiscal year may be required.

With experience, the Accounts and Tax Senior Associate may advance to roles such as Finance Officer, Team Supervisor and Manager.
