From finding solutions to rectifying defects, undertaking all kinds of refurbishments to organising a far-reaching programme of planned maintenance works, we deal with schools, social care premises, non‑housing buildings, listed historic buildings, etc. You will work with our Mechanical and Electrical Engineers as part of a design‑team approach to refurbishment projects that reduce carbon.

• Lead refurbishment projects across a variety of building types.
• Find solutions to rectify defects and manage refurbishment works.
• Organise a far‑reaching programme of planned maintenance works.
• Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers within a design‑team approach.
• Monitor contractor performance on site and proactively address any issues.
• Support service provision across the City, ensuring the best use of assets and alignment with corporate objectives.

• Strong on Health & Safety requirements.
• Confident use of AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in building surveying – qualified or working towards qualification as a Building Surveyor with the RICS, CIOB or similar approved body.
