Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary / Benefits £20k – £34k +Training + Benefits
Level of Experience: Trainee Water Treatment Engineer through to Lead Water Treatment Engineer

Profile: Our client is a reputable Water Treatment / Water Hygiene company who work on a range of Industrial sites across the UK, providing clients with high quality work. Due to increased work load they are now seeking to employ an ambitious and self‑motivated Water Treatment Engineer based in and around the Sheffield area. The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of relevant Health and Safety / ACoP L8 / HTM 0401 guidelines, carrying out Cleaning and disinfections on hot and cold‑water systems, flushing and chemical cleans on Closed Systems and Closed System sampling.

Applications will be considered from: Rotherham, Chesterfield, Worksop, Mansfeld, Matlock, Derby, Nottingham, Long Eaton, Belper, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Wakefield, Pontefract, Huddersfield, Castleford, Leeds, Halifax, Bradford, and candidates with good access to the M1.

• Experience working for an established Water Treatment company.
• Hands on experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer, ideally with experience on industrial site bases.
• Good working knowledge of ACoP L8 / HTM 0401 / HSG guidelines.
• Confident in using handheld PDA / Tablet systems and updating onsite logbooks.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, able to maintain excellent relationships.

• Working on a mixed range of Industrial sites, carrying out cleaning and disinfections on both hot and cold‑water systems.
• Undertaking routine sampling and temperature monitoring.
• Carrying out flushing and chemical cleans, in line with BSRIA guidelines on closed systems.
• Closed system sampling and dosing with required chemicals.
• Carrying out repairs, replacement, and servicing on TMV’s.
• Showerhead acid descales.
• Ensuring all work is being carried out in line with Health and Safety / ACoP L8 guidelines.
• Gathering information and using PDA / Tablet systems to produce detailed reports and ensuring onsite logbooks are kept up to date.
