Job summary
A local law enforcement agency in the UK is seeking young individuals aged 14 to 21 to join their Youth Independent Advisory Group. This volunteer role will allow you to provide valuable feedback on policing policies and help improve community services. Applicants must reside in specific areas in the UK and have been residents for the last three years. This role requires a commitment of at least 4 hours per week. Qualifications
- Aged 14 to 21.
- Resident in Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Burnley, Rossendale, Pendle, or Ribble Valley for the past 3 years.
- Ability to provide 2 references.
Responsibilities
- Provide feedback to the Constabulary regarding their work.
- Discuss relevant subjects in meetings to enhance policy.
- Engage with senior managers on policy concerns.
- Contribute towards Youth IAG aims and objectives.

We are looking for young people to join our East Division, Youth Independent Advisory Group (YIAG). The group will be an open and safe environment for young persons to provide honest and constructive feedback about policing policies and matters.
Anyone aged 14 to 21 who lives, works, or studies in Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn, Burnley, Rossendale, Pendle, or Ribble Valley can apply.

Primarily, we want to understand the issues you as young people are facing as we work together develop and improve our polices and the policing service we offer to the public.
- As a member of the Youth Independent Advisory Group, you will provide the Constabulary with your views on our work.
- Each meeting, a new subject matter will be discussed where you will be able to provide your thoughts, experiences and advice to improve the policy. You will do this working with a Youth Independent Advisory Group Leader.
- Wherever possible, senior managers from the Constabulary who own the policy will be present in order for you to feed your concerns and advice directly to the policy makers.
- To be responsible for ensuring tasks contribute towards the Youth IAG aims and objectives along with the corporate objectives of the Lancashire Constabulary.
