Are you a teacher who is passionate about guiding students to achieve their full potential both in and out of the classroom? At The Manchester College, we’re looking for Achievement Tutors to support learners’ academic success through engaging group tutorials. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping students stay on track, meet their goals, and thrive in their studies by delivering outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment via engaging activities, resources, and focused academic coaching while monitoring individual student progress in 1‑1 reviews using tools like ProMonitor and Markbook. You’ll collaborate closely with teaching teams, develop high‑quality learning resources, and champion student voice, employability, and achievement at every stage.
We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Visual Arts department as an Achievement Tutor on a fixed‑term (maternity cover), part‑time (28 hours per week) basis.
Our City Centre campus is a flagship site in the heart of Manchester, offering cutting‑edge facilities and a buzzing, creative atmosphere. It is home to our Centre of Excellence for Creative and Digital Industries, providing an inspiring setting for both staff and learners, with specialist studios, workshops, and collaborative spaces. With its central location and strong industry links, the campus is a hub for innovation, talent development, and real‑world learning.
The Manchester College is the largest further education college in the United Kingdom and has the largest provisions for 16‑19 year olds, adults, and higher education in Greater Manchester. We support more than 25% of Greater Manchester’s learning provision, are rated “Good” by Ofsted, and operate 18 Centres of Excellence across our campuses. We have partnerships with over 1,000 industry and employer partners nationally to help our students secure their place as future leaders.
