Job Description

Our client is an ambitious company with a diverse range of interests based in Belfast. They are now seeking an Accountant with good technical knowledge and strong attention to detail to join their team. They will consider both Qualified and Part qualified Accountants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accountant to develop their career with well established business who continue to go from strength to strength.

The role:

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and VAT returns, ensuring appropriate reconciliations are performed
• P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash-flow forecasting
• Maintenance of all balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of data
• Preparation of annual budgets
• Preparation of year-end Accounts/Audit Packs
• Liaise with auditors
• Project analysis, and maintenance of relevant documentation

Criteria:

• Qualified / Part qualified accountant with previous relevant experience OR significant previous experience
• Ability to prepare monthly management accounts
• Good understanding of accounting processes and the need for appropriate controls in place
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to deliver high quality work to deadlines
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft and Accounting packages, preferably Sage

Salary on offer is in the region of £35 – 55k depending upon experience.
