About the Role

As the main point of contact for your clients, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring their export needs are met seamlessly. You'll be the cornerstone of communication, collaboration, and coordination within the Export department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with allocated clients and suppliers. Your focus will be on growing both new and existing business.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in a dynamic team environment to ensure efficient coverage of all aspects of the department's work.
  • Rate Negotiation: Negotiate competitive rates for freight requirements with shipping lines and suppliers. Provide clients with timely quotations while maximising profits.
  • Booking Management: Make accurate bookings based on customer instructions, ensuring all information is up-to-date on export systems.
  • Shipment Monitoring: Keep a close eye on shipments, liaising with all parties involved and keeping clients informed of status updates.
  • Customs Documentation: Ensure correct customs documentation is received and issue clearance instructions promptly.
  • Invoice Preparation: Prepare and send invoices while checking and authorising purchase invoices for payment.
  • Sales Opportunities: Stay alert to potential sales opportunities and develop them under the guidance of senior management.
  • File Management: Maintain proper file management systems for easy retrieval of documents.
  • General Office Duties: Carry out general office duties as required, maintaining a supportive work environment.
