An education recruitment agency is seeking a trainee teaching assistant in Ramsey, UK. The role involves supporting children with additional needs in a primary school setting. Requires full-time availability, experience working with children, and the ability to provide references. Full DBS clearance is necessary. The agency offers training and support, with competitive pay ranging from £415 to £450 per week including additional benefits.

We are currently looking for a trainee teaching assistant to work at a Primary school. The role will involve working with a range of children with additional needs. You will be required to assist individual children in accessing the work set by the class teacher. These children will often struggle with emotional regulation and need the support of an adult who is calm and reassuring and can help the child feel calm and safe.
This is a unique opportunity for anyone who is looking to get into working in schools, particularly within SEND. You will undergo additional training courses within SEND, such as Behaviour Management and Special Needs Awareness to help give you the background knowledge and head start that is needed.
You will be working from 8:30-15:30, Monday-Friday during term time. This is a full-time position.
The successful candidate will have a positive mindset and be flexible and reliable in order to help ensure consistency for the pupils.
